With a voice as big as his name suggests, Big John Hamilton was a soul singer from Florida who recorded for Minaret Records, part of the Sun Records family. I Just Want to Thank You is a retrospective of his late 1960s and early 1970s southern soul singles that features tracks like "Angel," "Go Ahead On," and "I'm Getting It From Her" that are new to streaming, as well as the title track, which was featured on Barack Obama's Summer Playlist.
